Phantom Fit Resistance Bands Review

I recently received the Phantom Fit Resistance Loop Bands to review. I recently purchased a treadmill and would love to enhance my fitness routine as I try to increase my activity.  I’m not much into going to gyms, I think this will be my solution to assist in toning my arms and providing different options.  I like that it comes with varying resistance to increase as you go.  I started with the blue on my arms and red on my leg exercises.

The jump rope is available with Prime shipping for only $12.99 on Amazon.

On Amazon they provide several pictures depicting the use of the loop bands.  I think this is a great addition to any pilates, yoga or strengthening activities.

CycleBox October/November 2014 Review

This box is sold by Runnerbox, Mike enjoys receiving this box. The box costs $19.95 + $6.95 s&h and arrives 6 days after my account is charged. They ship via USPS priority and do not send out tracking information. The box includes the signature Runnerbox tissue paper.

This month the items did not fit in the box and some were placed in the shipping envelope.  I was really excited for Mike to see all his goodies.  The first item in the envelope was a tire tube.  He says this is the brand a local bike shop carries.  He can only use this one on his front tire.  Mike assures me he can use it when he changes his tires this weekend.  Price is $5.99.

Sunlite Tube

Sunlite Tube

They also included the Allergease ($5.99) and SK Energy bottle ($2.50) in the envelope.  The allergease lozenges will be used when the cold weather begins.  Mike doesn’t have allergies, but he uses a decongestant during the winter to avoid a drippy nose on early morning rides.  Energy options are always welcome, he says little bottles are easy to use while riding.  He was happy to give this a try.

Runny Nose and Energy

Runny Nose and Energy

They included three items for energy and protein.  The Quest Protein Chips ($2.39) are BBQ flavor and I know Mike will let me know how they tasted soon.  This will have to be an after ride snack or before an afternoon ride.  The high protein Orgain nutritional shake ($3.69) will be a good on the go protein shake.  Mike has used the Gu shots ($1.25) before and he likes root beer.  He likes to try new flavors and it will be a great item for the Tour de Gruene.

Energy sources

Energy sources

Mike has never tried these bars and quickly dropped them in his cycling snack bin.  He hasn’t really liked the Nuun tabs he’s tried in the past.  Yet, he didn’t seem to unhappy with these being in the box.  The Powerful Yogurt bar retails for $2.89, the 18 Rabbits bar retails for $1.20, and the Nuun tablets are $0.75 each.

Bars and Energy Tabs

There was a Runnerbox lip balm ($2.99), which will definitely be used.  The Momentum motivate wrap ($20) will be mine, not the best item to include for Mike.  The other bracelet is from the Powerful Yogurt brand and it’s kind of cute.

Miscellaneous

Miscellaneous

I was happy to see Mike once again received items he hasn’t tried yet.  I tend to pick up random samples for him to try and this is a great way for him to discover new items. The value was over $30 of items for him and the $20 wrap, well above the cost of the box and shipping. This has definitely been a great subscription for Mike. They also included several coupon codes. Definitely a great gift idea for any runner, cyclist, or triathlete.

The first item in the box is a bag of Choopko Peanut Puffs. He hasn’t tried them yet, but I’m sure he will enjoy them.

Snack

Snack

Two brands he loves! He received an ACCEL Recover bar and ACCEL gel both of these items will be used as soon as the weather permits a long ride.  The Honey Stinger is another favorite and he has not tried the Peanut Butta Pro before, so he is happy to see some new items.

Energy

The Sunscreen Bands seem like a great concept.  You apply the sunscreen to the band and when it changes color you know it’s time to reapply.  Then when it’s colorless it’s time to find some shade.  This will probably not be something he’ll use even though he should. The Block Island SPF in 15 is great packet to place in his saddle bag for reapplication, higher SPF would be better though.  The Primal Sports Muscle is a good item for him to keep at home on those harder rides.

Sun and Aches

Sun and Aches

Mike has never tried the Zym brand before, these electrolyte tabs are great for a water stop.  The Doc’s Skincare chamois cream will be a great item for him to try.  I like that it’s all natural.

Riding Extras

Riding Extras

WIN Detergent: a sports detergent that helps get rid of sweaty smells and is safe for performance fabrics. I may order this after we try it out, his cycling gear is always air dried and extra care is great for his expensive clothing. ~$1.00

Cycling Maintenance

Cycling Maintenance

He received a packet of SweatX detergent, ProGold Xtreme Chain Lube, and a packet of Pro Towels.  All of these items will be used and he was happy to see the variety of items included.  The sticker from ProGold was an extra bonus.  The CycleBox sticker was great “Worry Less, Ride More”.  Definitely Mike’s motto!

I was happy to see Mike received items he hasn’t tried yet.  I tend to pick up random samples for him to try and this is a great way for him to discover new items. The value was about the same as the cost of the box and shipping. I will continue this subscription since it’s more about him trying new things than a great deal. The also included several coupon codes. Definitely a great gift idea for any runner, cyclist, or triathlete.

I purchased this box for my hubby after lots of searching. This box is sold by Runnerbox and I was glad to find this one for Mike. The box cost $19.95 + $6.95  s&h and arrived 6 days after they charged my account. I was surprised when I saw it in my mailbox, they ship via USPS priority without tracking information. I had to wait for Mike to finish his evening ride and then we dug in.

The first item in the box is peeking underneath the green tissue paper, a Runnerbox microfiber towel. The price on the information card says ~$5.

image

Generation UCAN tropical orange: powder drink that claims to sustain energy and optimize performance. Mike said he’d give it a try on a long ride. ~$3.25

Mud Energy Gel: this gel has 12g of protein and electrolytes in a chocolate flavor. Mike was excited with this one, he uses energy gels often. They include a 30% code for future orders. ~$3.35

Pure Clean Powder: this product claims to boost performance. It is a pure beet powder that can be mixed with water, juices, or in smoothies. A little worried since it can lower blood pressure…this one will be researched further before it’s used. ~$1.50

WIN Detergent: a sports detergent that helps get rid of sweaty smells and is safe for performance fabrics. I may order this after we try it out, his cycling gear is always air dried and extra care is great for his expensive clothing. ~$1.00

Veggie-Go’s Chewy Fruit & Veggie Snack: this is a Carrot, Apple, Ginger flavor low calorie snack. I was going to take it and Mike said it was his box…LOL! Coupon code for this so if it’s good we can order some more and try other flavors. ~$1.40

Aardvark Ankle Biters: Mike was the most excited about this item. He has wanted to commute to work on Fridays since we work half days for the Summer. It holds your pants to protect from chains and at night works for visibility. ~$3.00

Grease Monkey Wipes: I thought these were neat since Mike has been known to have a greasy chain mark or hands every now and then. Going in with his cycling items ASAP. ~$0.40

The next items are great for Mike to try out and add to his snacks on long endurance rides. Protein and energy items are always needed.

PureFit Premium Protein Bar: this bar has 18g of protein in Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and it says it doesn’t melt. Great promo code included as well. ~$2.00

Fuel 100 Salty Vanilla Electro-Bites: this one feels like crunchy bites in the packet. They dissolve easily for quick absorption and have 100 calories. Yeah another coupon code. ~$1.00

Honey Stinger Waffle: he’s tried this brand before and finds them at Academy or HEB. He hasn’t tried the waffle though, another one for his ride snack bin. ~$1.50

Lenny & Larry’s FIT Protein Brownie: in Peanut Butter Crunch (I wanted to try this one…mmmm) it has 13g protein, 7g fiber, and it’s non-GMO. Coupon code for http://www.lennylarry.com will be checking out the products! ~$2.00

EBOOST: a pink lemonade energy powder with only 10 calories. He didn’t seem as excited about this one but he said he’d try it out. ~$1.50

I really enjoyed finding some brands Mike hasn’t tried yet.  I tend to pick up random samples for him to try and this is a great way for him to discover new items. The value was about the same as the cost of the box and shipping. I will continue this subscription since it’s more about him trying new things than a great deal. The coupon codes included for 7 out of 13 items in the box were a great bonus. There were also two additional coupons for matcha green tea and free gum. The gum was $4.99 for shipping so we will not order that though. Definitely a great gift idea for any runner, cyclist, or triathlete.
