SporkPack February Review

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate or referral links.

SporkPack is a great subscription box for foodies.  Each month they curate a box with kitchen gadgets and delectable goodies. Each month ships at the end of the month for as low as $29.99.

For February there seemed to be a sweet theme on most of the items. The items came in the new SporkPack square box with yellow tissue paper.  The box shipped via USPS and took 5 days to arrive.

There was no card included this month.  I researched the items to find out more information.  This month they included two kitchen gadgets and 5 snacks/food items.

For the kitchen gadgets this month they included a ceramic paring knife and Horizontal Y Peeler.  The items do not have a brand and pricing them has been difficult.  I found a $10 set on Amazon and another set on Kyocera Ceramic Knives for $30.  Not sure which is closest.

The food items included an interesting variety:

  • Donseumor French Almond Cake ($0.85):  This little cake was delicious.  My only complaint is that only one was included.  I will be ordering some of their baked goods soon.
  • Larabar Renola Chai ($1.50):  Can’t wait to try this one tomorrow.  Sad that I can’t find this flavor online, I love chai.
  • Cosomi Cookie-cracker ($1.60): I’ve had a different flavor and really enjoyed them.  Can’t wait to try this sweet n’ salty flavor.
  • Amki Sesame snaps ($0.50: I remember these treats from my childhood, my dad was always looking for nutritious options for us.
  • Just Cook No. 19 Salmon ($8.50): A Creole-inspired blend of paprika, lemon and bay that strikes a perfect harmony with the flavors of coriander, cumin and smoked chili. I will be trying this on their salmon recipe.

The February SporkPack had a total value between $23 and $43. It’s really worth it due to the new and exciting products you get to try out.  I found at least two items I will be ordering.  Can’t wait to see what they include for our March box surprises.  If you are a foodie like me, sign up and await these wonderful items each month.

SporkPack is a great subscription box for foodies.  Each month they curate a box with kitchen gadgets and delectable goodies. Each month ships at the end of the month for as low as $29.99.

For January there seemed to be an Asian theme on most of the items. The items came in the new SporkPack square box with yellow tissue paper.  The box shipped via USPS and took 5 days to arrive.

There was no card included this month.  This led me to some intense research especially on one of the gadgets.  This month they included two kitchen gadgets and 4 snacks/food items.  There was only one familiar item and some great new finds.

For the kitchen gadgets this month they included items by Prepara:

  • Prepara Swizzle Straws ($4.99):  The pack includes 4 reusable straws.  Enjoy iced coffee, iced tea or any other chilled beverage in a whole new way with this muti function straw/swizzle stick/muddler.  Can’t wait to try these out.
  • Prepara Herb Pod 2.0 ($14.99): The Prepara Herb-Savor Pod 2.0 will prolong the life of your fresh herbs for up to 3 weeks so you can enjoy fresh, flavorful meals every time you cook.  I love this item that I know will help us with our healthy meals in 2015.  I hate that our herbs go bad so quickly, plus it fits nicely on the fridge door.  The three pack is $29.99.
January Goodies

The food items included an interesting variety:

  • Shin Black Spicy Noodle Soup ($2):  I’m glad that it has no MSG.  Mike will enjoy this item since it’s spicy it really isn’t for me.
  • Hang Sam Won Ginseng drink ($2.50):  This is another item for Mike.  It’s like a Korean energy drink without caffeine or other fillers.
  • Popcorners Kettle flavor ($1): I’ve had a different flavor and really enjoyed them.  Can’t wait to try this sweet n’ salty flavor.
  • Urbani White Truffles and Porcini ($9.95): Can’t wait to try this item. “White truffles and porcini is a classic: now  you can taste this delicious combination in a few easy steps! Add the sauce to your risotto or tagliatelle and your gourmet specialty food is ready to serve.”

The January SporkPack had a total value of about $35.43, about the price of the box. It’s really worth it due to the new and exciting products you get to try out.  I really enjoyed this box from one of my favorite subscription boxes! Can’t wait to see what they include for our February box surprises.  If you are a foodie like me, sign up and await these wonderful items each month.

December Sporkpack

December Sporkpack

This month they included two kitchen gadgets and 4 snacks/food items.  There was only one familiar item and some great new finds.  I was very excited by the Miracle Whisk pair!

For the kitchen gadgets this month they included:

  • Miracle Whisk and Miracle Whisk Sport ($59):  You can whisk, whip, mix or froth a delicious treat in seconds, making it the perfect addition to your kitchen.  I used this recently making Mexican hot chocolate and it frothed up perfectly.  Can’t wait to try some more recipes.

The food items included an interesting variety:

  • Apinya Ghost Vinadloo Thai Chili Sauce ($6):  I’m a bit scared but I’m sure Mike will love it.  A premium quality hot sauce inspired by Indian vindaloo and infused with Thai flavors. Pairs well with stir fried meats and veggies. Mix it with pasta sauces for a simmer sauce, mix with ketchup for a dip..
  • Ips Egg White Chips in Sea Salt & Black Pepper ($1.69):  I have read good things about this snack.  Very high in protein which makes it a great filling snack.
  • Kameda Crisps Wasabi Flavor ($1): I immediately yelled mine…as we saw this item in the box.  Mike just laughed of course! I will be trying this out on our next cold front.
  • Pocky Sticks ($1.21): Japanese chocolate cream covered biscuit sticks.  Yummy snack!

The December SporkPack had a total value of about $69, way above the price of the box. I really enjoyed this box from one of my favorite subscription boxes!
